Bird Repair

We have not out-smarted the birds yet. We do know the birds have not chewed through the stainless steel mesh but some manage to pick on the stitches, take out a few grommets and chew on the support panels, interior lining and the zipper cloth. The side windows are made with one sheet of stainless steel mesh to prevent the birds from chewing. The entire carrier is lined with coated lining with plastic inserts for support in most places that some damages to the fabrics would not lead to an opening. All zippers have a locking device that requires the lifting of the puller in order to slide open or close. Please, don't show it to or tell the birds! Therefore, the damages to the various parts have not affected the structural integrity of the Pak-o-Bird.

The support panels are replaceable. If you have a bird that likes to chew, consider getting the wide panel set and strapping as much toys as possible to keep your bird occupied. We also offer repair if needed.

For a light weight carrier, semi-rigid flexible plastic panels or sheets are used to provide support of the carrier. Some customers have reported the medium carriers lose shape overtime. We have improved the structure by adding aluminum bar to the back and aluminum sheet to the lower front. For early purchase, we offer recofiguration service to reinforce your carrier if needed.

For any after sale service, please include a note in your return and send the carrier back to us at the following address. We will call you and give your the cost when we have reviewed the damages. In general, repair works cost $45 to $90 and to reconfigurate a older carrier is $45. If the damage costs too much or beyond repair, we will offer your a new one at a discount.
