Living with Pets in Style

The theme for the year 2010 Celltei Picture Contest is "LIVING WITH PETS IN STYLE". We have helped many people to customize a product for traveling with their pets and are amazed with admiration of the lifestyle the pet enjoys and the extra effort the owners put in to bring their pets along. Just show us how you are living with your pet in style. Fun, humor and your extra effort to include your pet will always get an extra point!

One winner will be chosen to receive a FREE Celltei product(s) of up to US$500. Another three will receive a FREE Celltei product(s) of up to $250. The value of the award can be applied toward the cost of a customized Celltei product. Former contest winners are not quality to win again but are welcome to send in their pictures.

Please email the following information to contest2010@celltei.com by Thanksgiving. The winners will be announced on our website on December 31 , 2010. Good luck!

Mitzi's Maddie in Italy (winner!)
"This is a photo of Maddie and me having a glass of wine at the Palazzo Sasso Hotel in Ravello, Italy on the Amalfi coast. This is one little girl that knows how to travel "in style". She definitely enjoys the finer things in life, like a beautiful view and a glass of Italian wine with her Mom and Dad. Of course she traveled to Italy in her Celltei bag and is looking forward to returning next year!" ... Mitzi K. (click to see more including picture with carrier)
Truffy is ready to go!
"Hi! My name is Truffy and I just wanted to tell you how much I love my celltei carrier. My mom keeps it on the floor right next to the front door so it’s easily accessible for one of our exciting trips! Whenever I see that beloved carrier I jump right in and roll around and then wait expectantly for my mom to take me somewhere adventurous! Just last month my mom took me in my carrier on an airplane! It was very thrilling for me. I enjoyed looking at all the people rushing past my mom and I in the terminal. A little dog like me could get stepped on in that rush. Luckily I am safe and sound in my little carrier! On line at the ticket counter people can’t help themselves and peep through the mesh to see what is inside this cute little grey denim carrier. Are they ever surprised and delighted to see my big black eyes peeking back at them. Though I sure love being a jet setting pup my favorite recurring trip is to the local park. All my mom has to do is say, “Park!” and I run and jump into that carrier faster than a bullet, I can’t wait to play with all my doggy friends! Well, gotta go. I hear my mom calling me. I wonder what adventure my celltei carrier and I will go on next!" ...Faigee S.
Lita and Becket, two papillions traveling in Morocco (Winner - 1st prize!)
"I bought your orange double-dog backpack four months ago from Joe at the small pet shop on W. 16th Street in Manhattan. I was prepping for a three month stay in the Fes Medina, a walled medieval city in Morocco and was planning to take two Papillions with me to live in a rented house there.

Everything was new and daunting -- the languages, the customs, the Muslim attitude toward dogs, the money, the very strange old city where there were no cars. And my second Papillion, Lita, had only been with me for a month. She was a retired show girl, having won her championship and whelped several litters before coming to retire with me. Lita joined my sweetheart, Becket, a tri-colored younger male from the same breeder.

My biggest concern? How was I going to deal -- all by myself, a middle-aged woman -- with luggage and two dogs in a car-less city? Your Celltei backpack could not have been more perfect. I swear I knew a woman designed it once I realized that it held firmly at both the waist and chest and had a multitude of compartments, inside and outside the bag. If the medina was crowded, both dogs went in the backpack and stuck their heads out to sniff the donkeys and be petted by the Fes locals, who had never seen such dogs! Of course, the short leads inside the bag were attached to their collars to prevent them from spilling out or being snatched. I zipped it up and took them into restaurants throughout the medina. And I didn't have to worry that I might be robbed from behind: I just tucked cash into the inner pocket.

The size is perfect for two small dogs. Lita is 5.5 lbs and Becket is 7.5 lbs. They didn't know each other very well, but ended up hanging out together through an in-cabin flight of 9 hours and 2 hours, all in one day. It fits under most airline seats well, too, given the flexibility of the framing.

A very, very impressive invention! We three thank you. I'd never have made it through the difficult adjustment there without my two dogs." ... Carol R.

Wilbur and Olive, two mini-dachshund having fun inside a Celltei carrier
"We (and our mini-dachshund Wilbur) are absolutely loving our celltei backpack. Our good friends (also with a min-dachsund, Olive) got one after seeing ours as has Wilbur's brother Charlie and family. Have a look at these two pictures attached which were just taken last week - Wilbur and his bestfriend Olive like to get a toy and then both jam themselves into the backpack together- it is absolutely hilarious to watch them arranging themselves so they both fit!!!!!

Wilbur goes everywhere with us and when he sees us getting it out of the closet he goes bananas trying to get into it! We really are so pleased with it and it was the best "doggie" purchase we have made." .. Amanda K. (click to see more pictures)
Poochie, a terrific poodle and the best traveling companion in Paris
"I was lucky enough to travel to Paris in May as a treat for Poochie for being such a great therapy dog! Of course, I managed to enjoy it too! when I called our groomer to tell her, and to ask her to give Poochie his best coif yet, she screamed in glee, "You're going to Paris? Of course, she did a fantastic job and Poochie was all set to wow some Parisian poodles. And what did we keep seeing? Yorkies and French bulldogs! When we finally came across a poodle he was also visitng from the USA! Poochie is a terrific traveling companion, and he always sits well in his animal print Celltei carrier underneath the seat in front of me on the plane. When we arrived at our hotel, they had a bed, bowls and toy waiting for him. At dinnertime, he accompanied me to every restaurant where they gladly welcomed him. At the restaurant in Montmartre they insisted that he sit on the bench with me and placed a mat and bowl for him on the table. During the day I would rush back to the hotel room and take Poochie with me into all of the food shops and buy a terrific picnic lunch which we would both enjoy in the Parc Monceau by the roses. Poochie and I had a great time and fell in love with Paris. We hope to return soon!" .. Helene H.
Rockay, the Chihuahua and a World Traveler (Winner!)
"Rockay, AKA, The Rock Star, Rock-I, Rocket-Man, Rockenstein etc. was found by me as he was running through traffic in a rural area of Central Florida in 2006 (estimated birthday July 18th, 2003). I scooped him up and after not seeing anything posted about an adorable lost chihuahua, claimed him for myself and whisked him back to a big city life in S. Korea for one year before moving to Germany (I teach second grade on a military base in Stuttgart, Germany.) This boy has more air miles than most humans I know and has been to: S. Korea, the USA (multiple times), Germany, Italy, Austria, France, the Czech, Switzerland, Belgium, Slovenia and Croatia. He LOVES to travel and goes EVERYWHERE in his Celltei "Bye-Bye Bag." All I have to say is, " Get in the Bye-Bye bag!" and he self loads via the top hole in the bag! I love your bags!!!! They are so easy for him to get in and out of and people light up when they see him with his head poking out of the top of the bag. I while away the hours in airports by watching the little girls wander by. When their eyes alight on him in his bag...well, a puppy in a purse?!?!...it doesn't get any better than this for a little girl and they come UNGLUED! I love to watch them squealing and giggling as they approach him and to tell the truth, this is most adult's reaction too, even the men! Your carriers are the best of all, dual purpose, everyday use and air travel, well-built and ergonomically perfect for both the pet and the human! I recommend them to everyone I know with a pocket pooch! The first pic is of Rockay in his first Celltei bag, secure enough in his masculinity to travel in a pink purse. The second photo is at the Bad Durkheim winefest (in his second Celltei) as he looks on while we enjoy a glass of wine and the local delicacy, flammkuchen, a type of thin crust pastry with creme, ham and onions on the top. I have dozens of pics of him traveling in his bag!!! ... Julie F.
Dennis, the smaller yorkie obtained the U.K. Good Citizen awards
"This is a picture of Dennis at Crufts dog show UK (the largest dog show in the world, as declared by Guiness World Records), where he made a special appearance as the smallest dog to have gained his UK Kennel Club Good Citizen awards (a series of obedience and socialisation tests). He has 3 Celltei carriers - one for posh occasions, one for trekking and one for International travel. He loves them all and jumps up and down, barking and whinning whenever I get them out ready for a trip." ... Kathy M.
The little Tiger in NYC
"Here he is -- in Bryant Park, NYC -- chillin' after a subway ride in his Celltei!" ... Lorraine G.
Pixie trying to hide in the Pak-o-Pet
"Pixie loves her Celltei Pak-o-Pet bag. She loves to have her little naps in there during the day and when we grab the car keys she usually jumps in the bag, thinking she can come with us! The great thing about the Pak-o-Pet bag is that it is so discreet so she usually can!

And when she hears the dreaded word "bath" she usually runs to the bag as well, hoping we won't find her. The joke is on her though always using the same hiding spot and she gets her bath anyways... ;-)" ... Tobias M.
Gaby, a small Yorkie, coming to work
"Gaby is my first ever small dog and the Celltei bag has allowed me the pleasure of her company to places I would never thought possible. She accompanies me pretty much everywhere I go. Most people don't even realize she is there because the bag looks very much like a fancy purse! I get so many compliments that I carry a little pack of post-its on the strap pocket with www.celltei.com written on them and give to anyone that asks about the bag. Restaurants, the movies, the museum, stores, bike rides, plane rides, etc. The sky is the limit as to where my dog goes!

This picture was taken on her 3rd birthday. She went to work with me and slept in her Celltei while I worked. We love her bag! Thanks! " ... Aleida M.
Pineapple, the Cavalier King Carles Spaniel, alwasys travel with the family
"Pineapple is our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with her own personal sense of style and we love to include her in everything we do. We were going on a vacation and didn't want to leave her for more than a week so we changed our plans to take her along. Thanks to her Celltei she was able to join us on a 2,500 mile roadtrip. We also try to support stores that allow us to bring her in to shop as well. (She usually helps us pick out cute outfits!) She brings so much joy and happiness to our lives (and usually other people we meet along the way). Thank you!" ... Kristina S.
Rasmis, the party going Maine Coon Cat in a Celltei carrier (Winner!)
"I love animals and having a pet is part of my daily life. This is why I purchased a Celltei carrier because I often bring my cats along. Especially my Maine Coon, Rasmis (born 21.11.2007) loves to come with me. Rasmis is really cool and you can bring him with you anywhere. I’m a veterinary student at the faculty of life science (previously called The Royal Veterinary and agricultural school) in Copenhagen. I often bring “Rasmis” with me to school. If I have lectures I’ll place his carrier on the chair beside me and he’ll sleep or lay quietly through the entire lecture. Travelling, by bike is one of his favorites. Picture nr 1 is taken at campus today. I often use a group room for studying and Rasmis will come along as company (picture nr. 5). When he gets tired he finds his carrier and goes to sleep – picture nr. 6 and nr.3. He’s the perfect passenger when I’m driving the car – picture nr. 4. Last week I attended a gathering at a Danish animal welfare organization gathering. That I brought my cat wasn’t a problem – picture nr. 2. Molly, my other cat (born 31.08.2009) is probably a Persian mixture but it is uncertain as I got her from a shelter. She is not quite as outgoing as the Maine Coon because she’s a little more insecure. Despite this, there are still quite a few places I bring her. She really enjoys coming along in the car picture nr. 8 and nr. 9 (I’m on a parking lot and not driving). A minor problem is that she prefers to sit on the lap! It was very difficult choosing which pictures to send you. I hope that you like my selection and I definitely live with pets and the Celltei carrier makes us able to do it in style." ... Sarah G.
