No worries, we don't bribe cats, dogs, bunnies, ferrets or other hapless animals to test out our products by sitting inside with a crash helmet as we knock the bejesus out of the carriers.
We actually have a very basic method to measuring the strength of our carriers. For instance, we wanted to establish the Active Pak-o-Pet's ability to carry up to 50 pounds so bricks adding up to that weight were placed inside it. As it was hanging, the 2005 Active was inspected for any tearing, loss of shape, change in structure, etc.
Another method we find to be effective is giving a sample of the finished product for free or at a very low price to a designated person to try out. They are asked for their opinions on a range of topics such as durability and comfort to their pet's reaction to being in the carrier for an extended trip.
